Jefferson County is accepting applications for Parks & Recreation Director.
Will oversee the development, management and operation of parks and recreational facilities.
Under the general supervision of the Board of County Commissioners, the Parks & Recreation Director manages all activities , including:
Plans, formulates, and implements short- and long-term goals for all Jefferson County park and recreational facilities and programs.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and assigns the work of subordinate staff; conducts performance evaluations; hire, trains, supervises subordinate staff and contractors.

Establishes and implements operating policies and procedures.
Prepares reports, budgets, goals, and policies.
Prepares reviews, analyzes, and presents capital improvement and operating budgets.
Meets with community and business groups to establish community partnerships.
Develops grant applications and requests for proposals; prepares and reviews service contracts; administers and monitors the use of grant funds.
Supervises and participates in construction, repair, and maintenance of recreation/park areas, equipment, and facilities.
Plans, organizes, and supervises facility design.
Ensures maintenance and repair work orders for facilities and park areas are completed in timely manner.
Promotes and ensures proper employee training and compliance with County safety program and departmental safety procedures; ensures that all equipment, materials, and work conditions are adequately maintained to prevent accidents.
Practices continuous learning through individual study, classroom training, seminars, and conferences.
Develops working relationships and agreements with partnering agencies to promote recreational and wellness facilities and activities.
Serves on Jefferson County Fair Board, and other boards as determined by Board of County Commissioners.
Experience Bachelor's Degree in parks, recreational, and leisure services, leadership, business administration, or related field; a master's degree is preferred; and four years of experience in public recreation, including two years in planning and administration.
Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho driver's license Grant writing experience.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other responsibilities defined by the job description and assignments from the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
